The Kick-off Meeting

The aims of the Kick-off Meeting were the discussion of work packages and clarification of all administrative issues. Its agenda includes the agreements on working tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines, detailed information on organizational and financial arrangements, methodology, discussion on outputs, short-term joint staff training event and dissemination and visibility. The meeting was also prepared as a network meeting among partners in order to get to know each other, have more efficient communication during the project and strengthen the intercultural dialogue and cooperation.

The Kick-off meeting for the SUSCOF project was held on January 31-February 1, 2019 at Izmir, Turkey. Altogether 15 people from five different European countries participated in the meeting from 6 partner institutions.  At least one participant represented partner institutions. The meeting started with an acquaintance and welcoming refreshments in the morning of Day 1, followed by sessions in Day 1 and Day 2, and ended with a small city tour including the Konak Square and Clock Tower, Kemeraltı Market, Kızlarağası Hanı, The Historical Elevator.

The Kick-off meeting was held in Izmir at the kind invitation of the SUSCOF team from Dokuz Eylul University. The meeting was held with the participation of the Project partners: Dokuz Eylul University (Turkey), Aarhus University MAPP Research Center (Denmark), University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Austria), Legacy17 (Sweden), Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (Turkey), and the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia). The Kick-off meeting aimed at discussing the whole activities, meetings, and tasks of the project, considering all the aspects, both technical and administrative. Also, the scheduled program, outputs, progress meetings, multiplier events, short-term joint staff training event, dissemination activities and responsibilities of each partner were discussed during the two days.
